Last May 17-19, the Esplanade of the Faculty of Chemistry of the UNAM became the epicenter of a revolutionary initiative for the recycling and sustainable management of plastics "Plastianguis 2024" organized by ANIQ and with the valuable support of leading companies in sustainability such as ALPLA and Vida Circular, this event has established itself as an educational and transformative platform.
Event participants had the opportunity to convert their plastic waste into useful products, from food to everyday items, all responsibly packaged. This exchange not only symbolizes economic savings, but also promotes a more conscious and responsible management of resources, in line with the principles of the circular economy.
Plastianguis 2024 was not only a place for exchange; it was also a space for learning. Through educational dynamics, attendees learned about the correct classification and management of plastics, acquiring knowledge that they can apply in their daily lives to contribute to a greener future.
With the support of ALPLA and Vida Circular, two pillars in the fight for a cleaner planet, Plastianguis 2024 demonstrated that it is possible to transform our habits and perceptions about plastic waste. Each bottle, container or plastic bag delivered becomes part of a sustainable cycle, preventing these materials from ending up in landfills and instead reincorporating them as valuable resources.
