Survey developed by VIDA Circular® and Consulta Mitofsky, in collaboration with ALPLA Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, and P&G Mexico.
The study "Plastic Recycling among Mexicans 2023", based on a nationwide survey, provides valuable insight into the Mexican population's relationship with the environment and plastic recycling. One outstanding fact is that practically 8 out of every 10 people surveyed recognize that 8 out of 10 people surveyed recognize their responsibility for plastic pollution, underscoring the urgent need for collective solutions to address this global challenge.
This study provides valuable information to identify areas where all stakeholders, including government, society, recyclers and brands, can collaborate to prevent plastics from reaching landfills and becoming waste. This study shows that the awareness and the will are there; let's take advantage of it to join together in a virtuous circle that will make the Circular Economy effective and expand and ensure a more sustainable future for all.
